Fifteen companies, including PanAsia and DongHwa Entec, have been selected as Busan City’s “2024 Excellent Job-Creation Companies.” The city will provide these companies with benefits such as grants for improving working conditions.
On the 20th, Busan City and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced the selection of 15 companies as “2024 Excellent Job-Creation Companies” for their efforts to create jobs despite challenging economic conditions, such as high interest rates and inflation. A certification ceremony (photo) was held in the main conference room at City Hall.
The selection process began in February with 57 candidate companies applying, followed by document reviews, on-site evaluations, and final selection by a review committee, ultimately choosing 15 companies.
By company size, the selected companies are as follows:
- For companies with more than 300 employees: Daedong Hospital and PanAsia were selected.
- For companies with between 100 and 300 employees: DongHwa Entec, Eco Energy Technology Institute, and Hanjin Foods were chosen.
- For companies with fewer than 100 employees: Gameins, The Chef, DI&C, Bugok Stainless, Burim Trading, Sante Cosmetics, MT Korea, Talent LNG, Felix Tech, and Hicom Co., Ltd. were selected.
These excellent job-creation companies will receive certificates and plaques, along with a grant of 40 million KRW to improve working conditions. Additional benefits include an exemption from acquisition taxes on newly acquired business real estate, deferral of local tax audits, and more.
Since 2010, Busan City has selected and supported “Excellent Job-Creation Companies” annually to encourage employment expansion and promote job creation. Including this year’s selections, a total of 291 companies have been recognized under this program.
Lee Jun-seung, Deputy Mayor of Busan City, expressed gratitude, stating, “Thank you for your efforts to create and maintain jobs despite the difficult economic situation. Our city will continue to actively discover and support companies that create quality jobs and contribute to regional economic development, ensuring their continued growth and success.”
